About the names of the class people forming sixoh, it's an good idea only if the printing is high quality enough.

I think do a Sixoh, but the names of the people forming the words "Sixoh".

It shows the sixoh spirit in each of us, and each of us forming the sixoh spirit. (Potential problem being whether the printing is high quality enough to discern the names clearly.)

Color scheme, Grey would be a nicely atypical color, so thas good.

As for the dismembered, design, any comments?

- I'm okay with either putting all our names behind, or just stamping a nice "sixOh". I've seen shirts with names, and some of them are very well done. Ever seen some council/course shirts? They put the names neatly behind, with a full stop seperating each name. It looks fabulous. But maybe thats just me.

- On second thoughts, won't it be nicer if we placed sixOh like a logo at the front of the shirt?

- Orange and White can be seen[Still think this is the best combi]. It's just how high quality the dye is.

Only seven years old, Ainan Celeste Cawley has passed an O-level Chemistry paper.

The Singaporean student, who is in Primary 2 in a school in Bukit Timah, received his result on Monday - a "C", which means he scored between 60 to 70 per cent of the marks.

His parents, Mr Valentine Cawley, 38, an English teacher, and mother, Madam Syahidah Osman Cawley, 28, a homemaker, discovered their son's amazing inclination for Chemistry when he came across an O-level 10-year series and correctly answered the questions.



Ainan was not allowed to take the Singapore-Cambridge O-level paper because of his age, so he took the London-equivalent exam from the London Edexcel Board, which is an awarding body for vocational and general qualifications in the UK.

A spokesman for the board told The Straits Times that Ainan "must be one of the youngest to have taken an O-level exam and passed".

His parents have contacted the Ministry of Education and hope Ainan can take the exams for the Gifted Education Programme.

"We'll just have to wait and see," Mr Cawley told ST. "Most of all, we want Ainan to be happy."

Answers.. There could be multiple explanations for some questions.

X, Y and Z fulfill the Pythagoras theorem. Z is the hypotenuse, thus X and Y are perpendicular to each other.

He should hold it forward, since it is opposite of the rain's relative velocity to him.

His speed is less. The horizontal component remains the same. Daryl-motion is symmetrical, and the frisbee is a little higher than the floor. Hence, his vertical speed when he makes contact is less than his vertical speed when he left the ground.

anyw since teachers do monitor this, then all the more i should really question the school admin for breaking up such a great class! we've come a long way building up all the tradtions that are unique to 60 and this has to happen!!!!!!!

it not only affects the current class but all the seniors as well, we are shocked. who will ever expect the first class of 60 to be disbanded! HOW CAN THIS EVER BE TRUE.

even though ive not been around, i can really tell that u guys have truly grown as a class! im upset too because its like seeing the class that ive helped to build up during orientation breaking up...anyhow i hope that you guys can continue the friendships u've formed in 60 and remember, once a 60ian, always a 60ian...as cliche as it sounds, i do mean it! i hope u guys can still play angel and mortal to 08 next year because we're not going to let our 60 spirit die here!! you guys still have to organise next year's class birthday, im serious!!

Well. I'm definitely going to camp at 60 bench before assembly. I mean, it'll be v weird to go to my new class bench, since i won't know many people there.

If possible, during recess, scan the horizon for an orange frisbee. The lucky ones who have the same recess time as me ought to join in =)

Hi guys. My dad spoke to Mr Ang this morning but only as a parent cause the school should know best of the system,and my dad's not in the education field.

For today I can say nothing more. Mr Ang said he would speak to a committee so we can only wait and see if there's news tmr. Sorry guys.

It has really been great, this first 3 months with you guys. S60 is the class I was closest to since I started going to school. I really love you guys. Hope we can stay in one class, and if not at least one fac.

I really wish the legacy of six oh will live on forever, seeing as the seniors are so close to the juniors and all. It's really a great feeling to be bonded to something for life, something you can and always will remember, look back and smile.

Hopefully it pulls off. If not, this class will be my only true class in Hwa Chong, no other.

Gah I just realised that I copied the letter today without absorbing anything, yes I know I'm a brilliant genius. Hence my complete failure at reproducing the letter.

Sorry to disturb Charmaine, esp so near to your block test, but is it possible for you to reproduce the letter? Or what you wrote (ie. the intro?), and we'll get those who wrote the other parts to reproduce them as well. When can we send it in, latest?

the sch system is well known and infamous for the screw ups.

and there definitely will be ppl from 2nd intake taking pcme1. so there's still the chance.

Apparently, our appeal letter is on the class bench! Type out a new one, ASAP? >.<

1 more point to add on:

Apparently, those who followed the guidelines and chose "yes" to retain the subject combi on ISP, were left out of 62, which was where they moved all the H1 econs ppl from s60, and instead had their combi listed as PCME, h2 econs. Meaning me, Sandra, Jacky, Dayong and Kenny. I'm posted to 6A (wtf), Sandra to 6D (artemis class), and Jacky, Dayong and Kenny are probably slotted into random PCME classes as well.

And those who rechose, meaning they clicked "No" by accident but then chose back their original combi, got their desired PCME1 combi. Which is Marcus, Daniel, Jiawei, and Junwen and Javis who applied for PCMG1.

If we can prove that there was a problem with the system (no way could all 5 of us made the exact same mistake during application like how the admin people think), there might be chance still...very slim, but it's there. The reason our class was dissolved was partially because of the fact that 9 KI + 5 H1 econs (leaving out the 5 ppl who were upgraded to h2 unwillingly), there's only 14 people, way too small for a class. but if we add in the 5 more, it'll become a class of 19, which is bigger than 62.

But then again, there's always the issue of lack of teachers, and all that crap. But at least we can solve the issue of the class being too tiny.

Can the person holding the letter (please say we still have it), type it out? And we can email it to the respective...authorities. >.<

hey. you know, i suspect there may still be a chance for your appeal. if you're really serious about it, type the letter out - complete with a proper addressee, title (everything we learnt in writing formal letters! hah) and email it DIRECTLY to Mr Chan and Mr Tan. Don't count on the word going up with a single sheet of foolscap (and if that sheet of foolscap didn't touch the hearts of the school admin, then they're not human! ): )Coupled with the admin screw up you talked about - you possibly still stand a chance for them to take your appeal seriously! (i seriously doubt the "we dont have enough teachers" reason)

but you have to do it TODAY. NOW NOW NOW!!!

so are we going to get a class tee?

My sincere apologies on being unable to make it this morning. Well, here's hoping for a miracle to pull us back together. Everyone, believe.

and well, we failed in our appeal. apparently the school system screwed up (again!) and some ppl who chose h1 econs got automatically upgraded to h2 econs and hence there weren't enough ppl in S60 anymore. yea and the admin REFUSES to believe that their lousy system screwed up. ugh!

so here we stand, unless more ppl complain to the admin after friday and the techies realise that their system failed. well at least there's still this 1% chance.

well this sums it all up. the most we can do now is pray and hope tt we land up in as good and as enthu classes as 60.

I'm sorry I didnt turn up this morning...didnt hear about it. Crashed last night from 7.30pm till 9am this morning. Hadnt slept in two days...was already pretty groggy (and angry with the school) on wednesday morning. RAWR. We need a 60 item. A collar pin? Or a shirt.

Athena LOST the most enthusiastic Athenian class ever. It's a fact. Which other class went the whole distance and stood in front of the whole school to DANCE. And when it came to cheers, WHO CHEERED THE LOUDEST- WHICH OTHER CLASS DID CLASS CHEERS ON VALENTINE'S DAY? WHICH OTHER CLASS HAD A MORE (in)famous reputation for FRISBEE, that the very thought of 60 strikes fear in the hearts of other frisbee teams.

Honestly, I was amused when my friends heading the games committees told me they were fearing 60's formidable array of frisbee greats. That the very mention of us actually scared them... no other class has trained so hard and bonded so well.

It is sheer irony that this had to happen.

For me, seeing the trajectory of a pink frisbee trailing across an azure blue sky will always remind me of 60 (and Liang Yi's angle-of-attack plus Daryl's Bernoulli's Principle explanations).

That we were a special class, and we will always remain together. In heart, in spirit, in body, and in mind.
